Day 01

ARRIVAL TRANSFER/ DAMBULLA

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Meet on arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport by My Travel Partner representative & transfer for Dambulla - Check in hotel.

Thereafter proceed to Minneriya National Park. The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area.

Full day 4 x4 jeep adventure in Habarana Jungle followed by a game drive in Minneriya National park to see large herds of Elephants.

Day 02

FROM DAMBULLA TO KITHULGALA

After breakfast at hotel visit Sigiriya Lion Rock. It’s the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Transfer to Kithulgala.

Thereafter proceed to White Water Rafting.

Day 03

FROM KITHULGALA TO ELLA

Early in the morning visit to Bird Watching.

Bird watching in Kithulgala is considered as a main interest of a nature lover and can result in you seeing many of the country's endemic bird species such as Sri Lanka Orange-billed babbler and chestnut-backed owlet, as well as reptiles such as green pit viper and earless lizard and a variety of butterflies.

Transfer you to Ella.

Day 04

FROM ELLA TO THISSA

After breakfast at hotel Visit to The Ravana Falls. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country. This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals. But this is not the case in the dry season, where the flow of water reduces dramatically.

Proceed to The Nine Arch Bridge. It also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers. The chief designer and project manager of the 'upcountry railway line of Ceylon' project was D. J. Wimalasurendra, a distinguished Ceylonese engineer and inventor. The designer of the viaduct was Harold Cuthbert Marwood of Railway Construction Department of Ceylon Government Railway. The 1923 report titled "Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon" published by the Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings. Thereafter transfer you to Little Adams Peak. It whether considering the word ‘Little’, it is named after the sacred Adams Peak (Sri Pada – where the footprint of Lord Buddha is preserved) regarding the similarity between the two mountains. Therefore the mountain was called as Little Adams Peak.

Day 05

YALA SAFARI/ DEPARTURE

After breakfast at hotel proceed you to do Yala Safari.

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public and adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block and Kumana National Park or 'Yala East' for the adjoining area. It is situated in the southeast region of the country and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq. mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds.

Day 02

Early in the morning you will be visit to do Wilpattu Safari. The unique feature of this park is the existence of "Willus" (Natural lakes) - Natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. Located in the Northwest coast lowland dry zone of Sri Lanka. The park is located 30 km west Anuradhapura and located 26 km north of Puttalam (approximately 180 km north of Colombo).

FROM WILPATTU TO DAMBULLA

After breakfast at hotel transfer you to Sigiriya. Proceed to do Anuradhapura Ancient City Tour. Anuradhapura attained its highest magnificence about the commencement of the common era. The city had some of the most complex irrigation systems of the ancient world, situated in the dry zone of the country the administration built many tanks to irrigate the land. Most of these tanks still survive. Thereafter proceed to Minneriya National Park. FROM SIGIRIYA TO KITHULGALA

After breakfast at hotel transfer you to Kithulgala. Evening proceed you to White Water Rafting. Boasting about adventure sporting, Kitulagala is a town located in West of the road from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. It has been once a filming place for the David Lean's 1957 Oscar-winning epic "Bridge on the River Kwai" on the banks of Kelani River. The Kitulgala's main attraction is White water rafting where you can ride the tides of Kelani River. Other than that, it's popular for sports like confidence jump, Stream Sliding, Waterfall abseiling, Jungle trekking

FROM KITHULGALA TO SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST

Day 07

SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST

Early morning Bird watching trek to Sinharaja rain Forest at 5.30 am. Sinharaja Forest international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare. It was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988. The reserve's name translates as Lion Kingdom.

Day 08

FROM SINHARAJA TO UDAWALAWE

After breakfast at hotel transfer you to Udawalawe National Park. Early morning game drive in Udawalawe National Park at 6 am for which you will be given a wakeup call at 5.30 am in which time the bed tea is ready. Udawalawe is the best National Park to see Elephants in Sri Lanka.
