Terms of service - Taxi bookings

If you do not agree with all these terms and conditions, you must not transact on this Website. Once you have registered on this site, you have entered into a formal agreement with My Travel Partner International (pvt) Ltd. for the purpose of transactions on this website.

Payment

  • Payment on your credit card is processed by one of the three Payment Gateways (VISA/ MasterCard / American Express Payment Gateways).
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your nominated credit card to allow payment of the bookings selected by you through the Online booking service when the debit is made.

Refund

  • Will not refund, due to incorrect information provided by the customer, including but not limited to: date, time, and pickup place also identity document details and passenger information.
  • Please note that, if you cancel your taxi booking due to any natural disasters, current spreading disease and any decisions taken from Government and if you cancel, up to 48 hours before your taxi booking the cancellation charge is 8 % of the price of the initial booking. If you cancel, between 48 and 24 hours before your taxi booking the cancellation charge is 50% of the price of the initial booking. If you cancel, within 24 hours before your taxi booking, the cancellation charge is 100% of the price of the initial booking. Also please note that we are doing service for customer’s requirements.

Other conditions

  • Incorrect information supplied in the online booking, e-mail or any form of direct contact.
  • If you do not show up at the agreed time and pickup point.
  • If you have excess luggage we have not been informed about, you may be refused to travel with us.
  • If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail from us confirming your travel details and times with My Travel Partner International (pvt) Ltd..
  • If your conduct is unacceptable in our vehicles, towards the driver, you may be refused to travel with us and behave in manner that you would expect others to behave towards you.
  • You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi with us, to allow for the check-in times required by your airline.
  • No drinking, eating specially smoking in permitted in our vehicles; and anyone who is under the influence of alcoholic drink or other drugs may be refused to travel with us.
  • We have implemented several control mechanisms in the booking process and first contact to eradicate problems later on.
  • Good communication regarding delays and cancellations on the traveler’s part is vital. Reliable service is a priority, we aim to arrive early at every booking that requires our customers to be punctual at their pick up point.
  • The planning process also aims to leave out stress situations for the drivers, this has a direct effect on road safety and passenger comfort.
  • My Travel Partner International (pvt) Ltd. does not take any responsibility of your lost luggage and it is your responsibility to check them before and after traveling.
  • If passengers require to schedule a pick up to return to the airport,
    1. Return journey will start after our drivers rest. The resting time will be decided according to the journey time. Normally it is half of the journey time.
    2. A Passenger is free to wait at a place for a time as similar as the journey duration, but we will charge USD $ 2, - for each and every extra hour until maximum of 12 hours.
    3. If a passenger requires a 12 to 24 hours waiting time, US $ 20. - will add to the total bill as overnight
    4. If waiting time exceed 24 hours our driver do not wait and we will send you a vehicle for return and do not cost any waiting chargers to your bill.
  • You must obtain appropriate Travel Insurance prior to travel By taking out travel insurance you are essentially covering yourself against travel risks such as lost or stolen luggage, cancellation cover (should you not be able to travel due to unexpected medical reasons) and most importantly, unexpected medical costs.
  • We will wait approx., 2 hours after your landing time in Airport. Should there be a problem with luggage, advise us by sending 1 member of your party to find us in arrivals we will be happy to wait for you.

Cancellation

  • If for whatever reason you need to cancel your reservation please contact us directly on e-mail or contact number we had provided at contact section and minimum of 12 hours before the day schedule transfer.
  • Refunds will be made according to the initial method of payment and currency used at time of purchase. Refund payment date is subject to bank or credit card provider.
  • Cancellations less than 12hours before the scheduled time of the transfer indicated on your booking vouchers in advance will still be charged at full price quoted ( no refund )

Luggage

  • Luggage should not be exceed the vehicle trunk space. Any extra luggage requirement must be notified during booking.

  • Suitable baby seats can be provided by prior request only.

Insuarance and guarentees

  • We are a fully licensed Sri Lankan transfer company.
  • Our company is has a liability insurance
  • While we will do everything we can to ensure that we get to your destination on time in according to that there are circumstances out with our control for which accept no responsibility for, these are as follows, but not limited to
    1. Weather conditions
    2. Excessive traffic
    3. Road closures
    4. Mechanical Fallieres
  • we guarantee your safety full time except in unavoidable situations
  • our drivers complete a daily check form on the fundamental safety of their vehicles: mechanical, electrical, tires and overall cleanliness.

Shared taxi

  • If sharing is available will confirm pickup point and the exact pickup time prior to your journey depart.
  • without the consent of your driver and other sharing taxi passengers, pre arrange shared taxi transfer cannot wait after agreed scheduled collection time.
  • No refund is made at any time for cancellation of any agreed seat in shared taxi unless a replacement passenger is found.
  • All passengers should co-operate with other passengers.

The prices quoted on this Reservation Service are in American Dollars. If you choose to pay for your ticket using a foreign credit or debit card, you will be responsible for the exchange rate and you are advised that changes to your journey or refunds may be affected by such exchange rate.

Terms of service - Train journey reservations

Our online Train Reservation and payment system is subject to following Terms and Conditions. Any customer who purchases a ticket from this system is assumed to have read and understood the terms and conditions mentioned. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use our Reservation system. We provide this service on behalf of the passenger.

Booking

  • To reserve your tickets your passport number and full name as in passport is necessary.
  • One customer can buy maximum of 5 Train Tickets only. (If customer wants to buy more tickets need to provide another passport numbers)
  • To collect your tickets you must provide you’re ID (passport number which is used to reserve the train tickets) at the counter at arrival airport.
  • Seats can only be reserved for the following classes: observation, 1st, 2nd and 3rd and sleeper.
  • Reservation can only be accepted and arranged 32 days before departure date of the train.
  • A valid phone number and e-mail address is required to secure your reservation.
  • For last minute train bookings, please contact us directly.

Acceptation

If we cannot reserve seats on the requested class (example 1st class or 2nd class), we will try to reserve seats on the next available class (2nd class or 3rd class).(this will be depend on your decision)

If we cannot reserve any seats on the requested train number ,we will try to reserve seats on the next available train during the same departure on the requested date .(this will be depend on your decision)

During high season in Sri Lanka, December till March & July until September, tickets are sold out within minutes .therefore all booking will arrange a 32 days before departure date of the train. If we are not able to reserve any seats in any train of the required date and departure you will get a information regarding that. & Read more about refunds on chapter Cancellations/Refund and Changes.

** Important

We are not responsible for providing incorrect passport numbers, names and email addresses. If you do not receive train tickets by supplying incorrect information, we give no refund on that. Please check your booking on correct details.

Payment

  • A valid credit/debit card (Visa, American Express, and MasterCard) must be used at reservation time.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient funds in your nominated credit card to allow payment of the bookings selected by you through the Online booking service when the debit is made.

We take all reasonable measures to ensure that the times and fares quoted on our Reservation System are correct. However, despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee that all of the information on our Reservation System (including times and fares) is correct, as our source data is provided from a third party rail information provider. Where we become aware of an error, we will take reasonable measures to rectify it. If you have purchased tickets which are subject to an error made by us, we will refund these in full. When we have confirmed your booking by email to your registered email address, we will fulfil your tickets to you using the fulfilment method.

**Important

Payment authorization is done by an external process and My Travel Partner International (Pvt) Ltd. is not responsible for using credit/debit cards that are not valid, or for their misuse. In case your online payment was not confirmed, you should address to the issuing bank of your credit/debit card.

Cancellations/ Refund and Changes

  • Within 32 days & more than 32 days in Advance of Booking
  • Once reservation is confirmed, the tickets are non-refundable, cancelled or changed. My Travel Partner International (Pvt) Ltd. can’t refund or cancel your tickets once the reservation is completed .(We are only a third party reservation company and do not play any role of managing or operating the railway) therefore you must request your refund direct with Sri Lankan Railway. Please note that in refund policy in Sri Lankan Railway, you can get only 75% from local ticket price & refund amount will be paid in local currency (LKR) from Sri Lankan Railway.

    1. No refund will be given by providing the incorrect data. please make sure the information before arrange a booking.
    2. Once the booking is completed & already purchased tickets are non refundable.
  • Amendment of before process your booking
  • If you wish to any changes, before complete your booking ,you can contact with us directly. Then we can change your booking before purchase tickets.

    Please note that, after you settled the payment, we will not refund any Payments for train tickets for any natural disasters, current spreading disease, any Strikes & any decisions taken from the Sri Lankan Government for train journeys. We are only a third party Company & we are purchasing train tickets for customer requirements. When your payment is settled for your booking, we are unable to change anything in your train tickets document with your journey & we will not refund your any payments.

    PLEASE NOTE that, My Travel Partner International (Pvt) Ltd. (we) will not allow delay cancellation ,any alteration, any destroy, any tear-in tickets including natural disaster to any service you may have booked with us.

    Insurance

    You must obtain appropriate Travel Insurance prior to travel, My Travel Partner International (Pvt) Ltd do not provide any insurance for your loss during, or any liability prior, or after train journey.

    Other conditions

    Sri Lankan Railway have ratified rights to decline to passengers under the influence of alcohol or other drugs and also if caught up in a life threatening situation. Sri Lankan Railway have given the complete authority to get legal support when in need.

    • Sri Lankan Railway has full authority to charge penalty from you/all the members, if you are unable to provide your ticket and ID (your passport) to ticket checkers in during the travel or inside the train station any time.
    • Tickets are non-transferable and you must ensure that no one else is able to obtain and/or print a copy of your ticket.
    • Passengers will be charged additionally if any damage caused during travel time.
    • We do not take any responsibility of your lost luggage. It is your responsibility to check them before and after the journey.
    • Make sure to board 15 to 30 minutes early to a train's departure.
    • Smoking and alcoholic drinks are not allowed in trains.
    • Sri Lankan Railway can refuse to transport clients under the influence of alcohol or drugs or considered to be a risk to other passengers.
    • Penalty chargers and damage chargers are according to Sri Lankan Railway terms and conditions.
    • Travel insurance is recommended and is not covered under this operation.

    Train schedules

    Train schedules and fares are subject to change without prior notice. Fares and departure times will be confirmed upon purchase confirmation.

    SAFARI APPLICABILITY OF STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

    All and any business or contracts undertaken, or advice, information or services rendered by My Travel Partner, in connection with the services, is undertaken and provided in accordance with these standard terms and conditions of contract.

    BOOKING PROCEDURE

    In order to secure a provisional reservation for the services required by a client, the client shall complete in writing and dispatch to My Travel Partner a provisional safari booking reservation form. Simultaneously, the client shall pay My Travel Partner a full payment of 100% .In the event of the deposit not being paid as aforesaid, the provisional booking shall lapse. Client must provide the correct names of the client(s) and for safaris, required are the clients full name, nationality, contact number and email address details.

    PAYMENT METHOD

    After you make a reservation, our team will send you a payment link, should use A valid credit/debit card (Visa, American Express, and MasterCard) to make the payment.

    CANCELLATION TERMS

    All cancellation you must send to My Travel Partner through email.

    If you cancel your booking, in full or partially, for any reason whatsoever My Travel Partner will levy cancellation charges defined below.

    Refund Policy

    Please note that, if you cancel your tour reservation due to any natural disasters, current spreading disease and any decisions takes from Government and if you cancel, up to one month before your tour reservation (if hotels reservations already booked with us), please note that, without according to the hotel policies, last moment we will not refund any payments.

    Only for transport (without hotel bookings) if you cancel, up to 48 hours before your tour reservation the cancellation charges are (of the price of the initial booking) 25 USD for administration and 8% for other services. If you cancel, up to one month before your tour reservation the cancellation charge is 50 % of the price of the initial booking. Also please note that we are doing service for customer’s requirements.
